brak, what kind if "issues" did you have? I'm looking at Contest 33 1971, which is currently listed on ebay.com

Sorry, they don't allow me to post the link.

What would be your opinion on this particular one? Thanks.

The more recent boats are great, build quality is among the best in the industry (price is high either )

I do not like the older Contests (27-34). They are way to slow and heavy. Wind speeds should be among 25kts to enjoy these boats. At least that's my opinion.

My dock neighbor disagrees with me. But hey... he's 70 or so and just wants to sail relax and easy

However, everything except "those issues" was indeed very well done and now from time to time I even wonder if I should have worked around them instead. (As it stands, I am going to have to buy a new boat like her very soon).

I had quite a few email messages exchanged with her designer as well, I think he may also be a designer for 31. If you have any specific questions - ask.

camaraderie I've only looked at the 40'+ boats but was very impressed. They build a quality product to the highest standards IMHO.
