bob1956 Iam thinking that will be the best. The zinc can't hurt. Is it possible the motor isnot properly grounded?

cardiacpaul you could always do both, plug in the zinc, wirebrush like a banshee and see what happens, eh?

bob1956 The zinc recommended by the salesman at the baotyard, showed a zinc with a plug threaded on the end. He said it would go in the exhaust manifold drain plug. The corrosion I am seeing is almost like electrolisis, kinda greenish/blue. Its not bad, themotor is clean, and has paint. I am thinking I'll just clean it off and repaint????

cardiacpaul not that I know of, although there may be somewhere you could insert one, I'd be a bit leery of that given you'll also have to change them.

External Corrosion

I am getting some external corrosion around the water jacket cover and thermostat. I was talking tosomeone at the boat yard about it and he questioned me about changing the zincs. I was not aware of zincs on or in the motor. He showed me one that looked like a plug. Does the A4 have these?
