Re: MD7A Alternator Pulley 5" Diameter

Thanks all (1 anyway :-)) for your help. After conducting another internet search, I have found the pulley I need and will be placing it on a modified (frame) brand new alternator. Goodbye SEV Marchal. :-)

Re: MD7A Alternator Pulley 5" Diameter

I just sold my MD7A to Sound Marine in CT... Welcome to Sound Marine Diesel

Call Joe DeMers, tell him Neil called and he can pick up the motor in Quincy anytime! Joe's buying it for parts and has other MD7As on the shelf.

MD7A Alternator Pulley 5" Diameter

Trying this again. Does anyone out there have an original 5" diameter SEV Marchal alternator pulley from a Volvo Penta MD7A engine? If so, please let me know and thanks in advance. Maybe someone has access to a marine junkyard. Not many of those in Las Vegas.

An internet search does not reveal a 5" alternator pulley, thus the reason I am looking for an old used one. I need to bore out the shaft hole to the diameter of the newer sized alternators. I am tired of rebuilding/searching for an original replacement for my current one and parts are becoming scarce.

Thanks again....someone...anyone??? :-)

By the don't hate me...but I was sailing in 70 degree partly sunny weather yesterday. :-)
