They actually spent nothing. The aircraft use up so many flight hours a year anyway. The ships spend so much time at sea anyway. The soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines are salaried. You can break it down like it was for that rescue but it is not reality. It was good training for those involved.
Good for them. If they don't use this money, we will use in somewhere else. It is not like the Dept will return the money to the tax payers. It is better to rescue these people than going to war and get more the soldier killed.
Every time when I see the military jet flying over, I am seeing hundred of a hundred dollars bills burning............. God bless America. :laugher
