Re: Identify this boat?

Westerly Centaur, looking like it was significantly restored, maybe upgraded. 2 forward ports, not the one standard. Reverse transom isn't too hard to extend from standard for someone with reasonable experience working in fiberglass. Stern "ladder" maybe, but it seems as if it were cut off or something. otherwise, the deck and cabin appear to have been completely restored. I've rarely seen an old boat looking so, well, clean. Don't know if the extended stern will really add much speed though. You'd need to heel way over to pick up any appreciable extra waterline.

That was my guess - those boats need all the help they can get. Bit of fashion statement too, possibly. Would make using that ladder easier as well.

Westerly Centaur or Tiger for sure.

Extended stern to increase waterline length?

Looks like a fold down boarding ladder to me...

Thanks for posting the image CharlzO! Still nobody has any ideas? I still think it is a Westerly Centaur, just not sure why someone would extend the stern like that. It does look like there is a windvane attachment at the stern, could that be the reason?

Identify this boat?

It looks very much like a Westerly Centaur, but the transom looks like it has been modified. Any other guesses?

The boat is in Thailand, not far from where I live in Bangkok. It was apparently sailed up from Singapore a few years back. I'm going to check it out next weekend, really interested if it is indeed a rugged and well kept Centaur. Not a fan of the wheel steering but there are few affordable capable boat options in the gulf of Thailand.
