sailingdog As I was saying, the ad-blocking software you're using is obviously the weak point...

It is a bit of an odd place to be advertising cars... but maybe Chrysler thinks it is a good demographic for them... however, the execs there obviously don't own sailboats...or they'd know we don't have the money for a new car—we spend it all on our boats.

It's curious though that Chrysler seems to be SN's biggest advertiser. If I was in the market for a new car, I wouldn't go to a sailing forum to get info on one.

sailingdog TB-

You need a good ad blocker... I don't see the ads unless I want to.

For minimizing advertiser blitz, set up your own website. Otherwise accept the need for "free" sites to advertise.

Just trying to help - not selling anything.

I tried it, but it seems to think, that above all things, that I want a plasma TV, plonks the question right in the middle of the set-up menu, and keeps coming back to the same question, again, and again.

sailingdog Try Flickr.com instead... much less obnoxious in its setup. Or you could get Picasa, and use their website. http://picasa.google.com

I don't want a plasma TV.

Would it not be simpler to allow an attachment, rather than to have to run the gauntlet of passwords, personal details, and pressure shopping?

The pictures were of my boat on a quaint Scottish Canal. The boat is a Union 36, the hull is deep blue, and the canal is the prettiest spot on this planet.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks anyway.

Here is an easier way for just a pic or two that I use.

://teamsouthbound.com/pictureprocessor/default.asp

[I tried to paste the link but the site said I did not have a high enough post count yet. I guess I will post some menaingless stuff to get it up. Anyway maybe you can copy and paste the address...........]

In number two, use the drop-down and pick Florida Sportsman.

In number three, pick NO.

Copy what it gives you and then paste in the reply box.

There are lots of ways but I use this one. It just does one at a time though.

TrueBlue www.photobucket.com

Easy as making Scotch eggs Rock . . . click on the link above, follow the directions for setting up a new FREE account, then upload your photos from a file on your computer to your photobucket album.

When done, each album image should havefour codes beneath it:

Email & IM
Direct Link
HTML Tag
IMG Code

Copy and paste the second URL (Direct Link) into the URL box that appears after clicking on this icon in the SailNet message window menu bar:
Your picture should then appear in the post message window. I prefer to use the command over the Quick Reply below the last post - more options available.
