We're not going this year but have gone for the past few. The Newport show does have quite a few sailboat dealers and vendors. Most boats are on the large size though. There are also some seminars during the day.
The Newport show is worth going to. You cand spend a day just looking at equipment. Also going on just down the street is the used boat show with about 60% sail. They have a couple of Little Harbors 52' a Moody 44' and a Bristol that are worth looking at.
Went yesterday, it was awesome. I liked them all. Totally missed the used show, which is what I am looking to buy anyway.
What I liked around 35 ft new
What I can afford around @ 27 foot 20+ yrs old.
