Hunkered down in Eagles Cove on the Magothy. Had skim ice in the slip but a great sail down. No one out . We have this usual crowded anchorage all to ourselves. Horses on the farm across the way playing at Sunset.

Dinner tonight was first course homemade lobster bisque ( tomorrow lobster rolls for lunch )followed grilled tri tip steak witha green tea miso glaze, asparagus and roasted butter fingerlings all done on the grill.

Dessert was grilled peaches and Gorgonzola with hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps.
Was. Huddled over the grill cooking dinner by led lantern .

Now warm and cozy in the cabin with our heater for the night. Was glad to eek out one more weekend though it was quite cold out. Had the Watchcap and ugs on the whole trip

Re: 2014 Sailing Season

I'm going to drive up to Point Lookout tomorrow and do a little maintenance in the late afternoon. Monday I should have all day to sail and I think it will be breezy. Hope to get at least one sail in in December and even January. Haul her out in February and get her back in by early April.

The old boat just seems to do better wintering in the water.

Great sailing today...Rock Creek/Patapsco to Rock Hall on the Eastern Shore. Late lunch in town and now we're hunkered down for the night. Buried the rail most of the way over just having fun until we reefed the genny some and let the traveler down. Good speeds even though some 2-3 foot steep chop. Hardly saw another boat out. Had to break ice getting out of the slip this morning? WTF Sure beats removing canvas and tarping boats...

Sunday looks to be superb!

Monday will be 70F degrees. Yes it's going to rain, and yes I have work, but I'm still going sailing after work.
