Flotilla in Tortola, May 2003

The Flotilla is run by Moorings out of Tortola, BVI. It''s a 6 day trip, going to several different islands, with dinners, beach partys, and other fun events including a "Ragada". Go to www.moorings.com find the flotilla area and read on. It''s a lot of fun.

I belong to a Sailing club in New York City and we have many members that would be interested.
Tell me more about your flotilla plans.

Flotilla in Tortola, May 2003

Hi, Chandler. Well, I live in Arctic Alaska, so finding people who can sail and afford to a travel so far is very hard. Thus, as of right now I have no one else committed. A couple of folks might be interested but won''t know for sure for several months. I did this Flotilla in 2001. I spent a month in Tortola that year, and two weeks there May of 2002. So I know the area very well, which will make provisioning easier and less expensive (if we choose to to do that ourselves). I have sent you a message with more detials about myself. I look forward to hearing from you. If you don''t recieve my message, please e-mail me. Thanks

I too was planning to do a flotilla around that time. I chartered there about 12 years ago. Been sailing many years. Worked in Yacht Management for 10 years. I might be interested, depending on who''s going. What can you tell me about yourself, and any others who might be on board. Of course, I will reply back regarding more info on myself. Thanks,
Chandler

Flotilla in Tortola, May 2003

I am organizing a Flotilla sailing trip with Moorings in Tortola, BVI, starting May 22, 2003. Check www.moorings.com and the go to the Flotilla area. Depending on the number of people and the size of the boat, prices range from $75pp/pd to about $105pp/pd (cheaper than room rates most places on Island). I have some experience sailing and have my ASA Advanced Coastal Cruising stamp. Your sailing experience is preferred but not required. These flotillas are very well organized. I did this same trip in 2001, and it was a blast. Please e-mail kimsp@astacalaska.net for more details if you are interested or have any questions.
