T37Chef As the OP inquired, I am wondering if there is anyone here with some info on the boat??? Very curious.

gnsail Thanks for the help. I may steer clear of this one due to people telling me about the leaky teaky situation.

kwaltersmi Try Jack Horner's review of the Pedrick 41. Obviously, this thread isn't about the 41, but you might glean some pieces of information. Here's the link:

gnsail Thanks for the Replys. I did not see any information on the Pedrick 36 on the Website posted. I have not seen the boat yet, just gathering as much information as I can before I look. I have no idea if Cheoy Lees are considered poorly constructed boats or well constructed boats. I cannot post the link but it is a 1988 36' Cheoy Lee.

Were these later versions still built in Hong Kong? Is this a bad thing?

Is this model considered strictly a cruiser like the older versions?

Would you compare this boat to a mid 80s Bene Idylle 38ft?

I have found the basic information about LOA - 35' 7" ; LWL - 28' and change
16000lb; 5' 8" draft ; 11'10" beam

Sorry for the inexperience, I'm just trying to gather a strong base of information in order to make an educated decision on the boats I consider.

Sailormann Do you like the boat ? Is it in good condition ? Does it sail nicely ? Can you afford to buy it ? Can you afford to keep it ? If you answer yes to the above - then it is a good boat for you. If you answer no the the above - then it is not a good boat for you.

Cheoy Lee 36 Pedrick

Just did a search and could not find much on the Pedrick design of the Cheoy Lee 36. I am still looking for a liveaboard and one has recently come available in my area. I don't know much at all about this particular boat and can only find information on the older Cheoy Lees. I was wondering if I should begin considering this boat.

A little information would be appreciated.
