PBzeer That was in the back of my mind, fer sure. Was just the way the boat swung around on the two anchors and a lack of wind though. Glad it's over.

Maybe you went aground during the storm surge and are actually not moving because you have three feet of mud surrounding the boat.

sailingdog Sounds like a pretty good setup for a boat your size. I guess you'll be breaking out the polarfleece today.

PBzeer I'm back in the South River near Oriental. I'm hanging on a 35 lb CQR with 30' chain and 250' rode and a 22 lb Fortress with 10' chain and 100' rode. So far, about 4:1 scope seems to be working the best. Tried more, but I couldn't stay put on it. Too nasty to use the dinghy to set the 2nd anchor, so I don't have as good an angle between the two as I'd like. And just to make it real fun, it's suppose to get down in the 30's. Oh joy !
