TrevorHeath Hi,

Thank you to all for the advice and leads.

My boat is an Oday 192

Rigrite had exactly what I needed with their Kenyon SP1 airfoil product.

Thanks again

rperret try too - depending upon the age and type of boat, they may have the spreaders.

but as someone else posted, we really can't help you unless you tell us what the boat is, model, year of mfg, and any identifiable markings on the spar that could help us - maybe some pictures would help.

I just went thru this same process and was able to identify the manfacturer of the original spreaders - although they don't make the same extrusion anymore - they are able to repair my spreaders.

sailingdog Trevor-

Welcome to sailnet... but posting a relatively vague post like the one above is not all that useful.

It would really help if you said what boat you broke a spreader on. Different boats have different masts and often knowing what boat it is can make it much easier to locate parts...

Mast spreaders

Sorry for such a nebulous first post but hey it is a start!

Can someone tell me where I can buy a length of airfoil shaped aluminum mast spreader material, preferably in the Seattle area but mail order from elsewhere is fine too.

I've broken both of mine raising the mast and conclude I've some metal fatigue going on in addition to a bad weld by a previous owner on one.

The cross section size is quite small about 1" (for a 20' day sailer)

Thank you
