NautiG Thanks. I was looking for a manual for the filters online, but I couldn't find one. I was concerned that maybe fuel was leaking past a gasket or something.

k1vsk that is normal. If there is any water, you will see it in the bottom of the bowl.

Racor Filter

I have a two cycle Tohatsu outboard and a Racor filter model #s3227. The filter has a blue transparent collection bowl. When I bleed it, it seems like it's just gas that comes out. And when I pump gas back into the filter, the collection bowl immediately fills up, presumably with gas, not water. Is this normal? I would have thought that there would only be water in the collection bowl.

The filter is new this Summer, but the collection bowl is saved from the last filter.

Thanks and Merry Xmas,
Scott
