camaraderie Shemander...this forum is NOT for questions about individual boats...see post #1 above. Please ask your question in the general discussion or buying a boatforum. Thanks.

USCGRET1990 I suppose it may have some merit, but for my design questions and interest, there is a wealth of knowledge over here:

camaraderie Bardo...I think a question that is technical in nature yet of WIDER interest than a specific question limited to a specific vessel would be acceptable.

I.E. "I am thinking of buying a boat with a cored hull...what are the advantages and disadvantages?" Would be an acceptable post.

"I am thinking about buying a Tartan with a cored hull. Has anyone heard of problems with their hulls? " Belongs on the boat buying thread.

Either way... your question will get answered. As a guideline...if you MUST mention the brand to discuss the probably belongs on the boat buying thread.
Hope that provides a bit of clarification. We'll just go along and try to figure it out...The main reason for the restriction is that the guys who enjoy talking about technical design want to do JUST THAT...not dissect individual boats for prospective owners.

Bardo To be clear...if we have a technical question about the design or construction of a boat that we happen to be interested in buying, should we post it here and just not mention that we are interested in buying it (for fear of being smited)?

camaraderie Frank...just send me a link to any thread you think belongs here and I will move it.
