Help with engine ID?

Can anyone give me a definitive ID on the pictured engine? I know the pics aren't great but hopefully they are sufficient for those experienced with sailboat diesels. I am thinking Yanmar 3gm30.

It is housed in a 1978 Bombay Clipper that I may be interested in. If I am correct on engine ID can anyone point me to a repair manual or other source for basic info on the engine? For those experienced in diesels, anything jump out of the photos by way of concern? I will have it checked by a diesel mech but thought I would start here for initial feedback.

I have not been able to start due to horribly fouled bottom. But I have bumped it around with weak batt. So it does turn and the bumping did suggest decent compression. Oil also looked good. According to owner it is RWC.

Thanks in advance...

Hmm... pretty sure I can see a heat exchanger, which would rule out RWC....

All I can say for sure is that the exhaust system is by Goldberg - Rube, that is.... ;)

Beyond being a 3 cyl don't recognize it from those pics.

Need to look tomorrow for name plate... thanks for confirm of RWC... that was my best guess too... and I am pretty sure it is 2QM30... just not sure which one which only makes a diff in terms of transmission from what I can tell...

Definitely a Yanmar QM, no heat exchanger .... or heat exchanger removed and engine converted to raw water cooling. There's a lot of normal accessories apparently missing - the 'hand crank starter', although the pinion crank gear is still there ... left lower part of the full view pic.
Should be a Model ID plate just in front of the 'starter' on the 'block'.

Cant see how many cylinders in your pic.
Yanmar
2QM20 2cylinder 20 nominal HP
or
3QM30 3 cylinder 30 nominal HP

Transmission ID = a plate on top of the gear case.
3QM30 uses KH-18 Trans.
2QM20 uses KBW-10 Trans.

There's also another 2 cylinder version 2QM15 15 nominal HP (I have no data on this one)

All of these engines have a Maintenance & Repair Manual -- available at most Yanmar Dealers.
