Okay, so I uploaded onto photobucket instead. Skip this one, as I can't seem to get rid of it, and scroll down to post #8 for the better version.

Yeah, its about that time.:D So, during the Floyd part, when I pan back, you can kind of see the Bene that we blew the doors off of. Sailed right by it like it was standing still. There was a Cat ahead of us that we kept up with until they put up the spinnaker and then disappeared out of sight. At the end it looks like Simon is nodding off, but he is awake and poking at his twisted ankle that is swollen. Between the two of us, we managed to keep the boat at around 7 knots and had her up to 7.6 on the beam reach for quite a while. Lots of fun, thanks Simon!

Thats a local legend brew, Anchor Steam.

Oh, and CD, the BBQ part is for you so you don't feel left out during the sailing parts.:D

Nice video... You do need a hair cut though BF... And when you say a Cat blew the doors off of you, you mean a catamaran, since we all know catalinas don't sail. :)

Nice to see Simon's working so hard... :)

Simon— For the ankle, I recommend Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation... it'll get better faster if you do that. :)

BTW, you're flying your ensign from the wrong place.. the courtesy flag is supposed to be flying from the starboard spreader...and your ensign should be flying from the flag staff in the cockpit.

Who thinks Simon needs to get a horned helmet, like in the Ericson logo... He'd make a great viking. :p

SD, I think you read the first post with hope in your heart. Close hauled we were keeping pace with the large Catamaran.:p but when on a broad reach when the Catamaran flew their spinnaker did it pull away.:( We blew the doors of a Bene.

Nothing like sailing mid week in the Bay! Simon, what marina do you sail out of? Our C34, Freya, is docked down the Estuary on the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
Alameda</ST1:p</st1:City> side. We are sailing over to StFYC this Saturday for a function so perhaps we'll see you out there? Freya is a Catalina 34 sail number 1476 and beware, Catalina's are much faster than you may think!

George, Simon is in Berkeley Marina, They have a cruise out to Ballena Bay this weekend. You may run into each other (literally!) at the mouth of the estuary.

The boat seemed to want to move and was peppy...

Have photos of the underside? and complete rig? Can I see the rudder? can you show a photo of the main traveler and genoa tracks? Can you show where the stay attaches at the mast? Can you take a photo of the mast from the base looking up? can you show me the boomjack?
Thanks

I can't, cause I am not there. But what I do remember is that she was modified by the last owner with a staysail and an additional set of tracks aft, next to the cockpit. She is a little bulbous around the middle "fat" as some would say, but not as much as the IOR boats. Modified keel with a skeg rudder, I believe. Not sure, but the genny we had up looked like a 130%. The traveler is full width on the cockpit bridge. The wheel has been moved forward and sits right behind the traveler, which I like a lot because the sheet is right there and I can keep it in my hand. The winches are behind you, which I don't like as much. In the original configuration, they would be right next to you, like a Dehler. No backstay adjuster.
