jmayton The reason no attacks are reported is that the reporters are whale poop and don't have much to say anymore.

I think that was a typo? I can't find any meaning to it?

Here is a few links on this page:

WhaleMuseum Whale watching guidelines

The 500 feet is a Federal regulation now I believe - and supercedes all state and local ordinance...

Unless you have a whale tourist permits (commercial)...one may not actually hunt them down for whale watching (but then its still 500 feet).... some pretty strict fines if you are caught within that range to them and it has been observed that you chased down a pod to put yourself there...
But what does the 3 mean?

sailingdog I doubt that... Sushi is a group of foods that involve vinegared rice...Some forms of sushi include raw fish, but the raw fish is called sashimi.

None use whales, which are mammals.

Sashimi=fish, mollusks (clams, oysters, etc), cephalopod (squid, octopi, cuttlefish), and arthropods (crabs, lobsters)

Sashimi≠mammalsólike seals, whales, dolphins.
