|jimmyb116||Now I remember why I spent all winter and a c%^&p load of money getting the boat ready for summer.|

|Bardo||Funny. My daughter Emma (9y/o) is the real first mate on our boat. She is great in a blow and loves the lively action. jack, my 7 y/o son is still a knucklehead when it comes to common sense things and so is relegated to cook's mate. I wonder if that will change? He loves the boat, but gets so wrapped up in the seagulls, or the fish, or a winch handle for that matter, that he loses situational awareness. He is only 7........I guess I should enjoy it while I can, the teen years are coming|

I did not look at the video, but I am sure the would remind me of times i spent skiing with my 4 kids from 92-04 when I bought and sold a travel trailer I would use as a ski hut. And a few summer weekends here and there around the NW.
Bought sailboat 3 yrs ago, now 22 yr old sons and elder 19 yr old daughter come along as crew during races. Not sure when and if the 15, 16 on the 22nd will come along. Goes out on my canoe with out a hitch, but the sailboat, still gun shy after three times out. Hopefully soon.
Had not heard the teenager vs terrorists comment before. A little true, then again, having had 4 of them in the house at one time, They found I did not negotiate things to often...........

Sailhog- those were great, love seeing the kids having such a good time. Those will be priceless as the girls get older-and it happens so quickly! My boys are 33 and 31, when the hell did that happen?

Thanks, Hog. Great vids.
If we didn't love 'em so much, kids wouldn't be so frustrating, especially older kids. Our too late remonstrances to our parents do nothing to alleviate our own anxieties. But then, I dimly recall hearing someone say to me once or twice, "just wait until you have kids". Sorry Mom, like most things, you were right about this one too.
