RhosynMor THere are many ways of getting an extra discount, at Annapolis last year on of the dealers did not have local slips for the boats, and was looking at paying delivery crew to take the boats to Miami- on top of the 15 % boat show discount they were offering another discount equal to the value of the delivery costs.

Sabreman You guys are twisted........

As for new vs used boats, I prefer purchasing a 4 year old boat that's to young to have much broken and to let the other guy take the new boat depreciation.

Never bought a new boat and don't intend to unless a big pot of $$$ falls on my head.

On the other hand, I prefer new boat shoes. No discount is worth wiggling my feet in someone else's toe crud.

Melrna Depends on the boat manufacture, but the average price discount now is 10-15% off most boat prices according to my broker. What boat are you looking to buy?
