|CharlieCobra||Yep, something about this monster spells disaster. I went through Alicia too, along with four others including a Cat 5. This one would make me get way inland. Galveston's gonna be toast.|

I'm seriously concerned about the people at this point.
This storm has not been compared to Rita or Katrina.
This storm has been compared to
"The Great Storm of 1900"!!!
6000 people died as a result of that storm.
I went through Elisha in 1983.. I was in N. Houston,
and I wasn't scared.
I wasn't afraid.
"A wise man sees the evil and avoids it."
Better safe than sorry,
is my motto.
Please be safe!!!!!!!!!
It's not going to matter where the eye comes in...
It's more like,
The Perfect Storm.
So I advise all those who do not trust Jesus
to stay away from this.
It's not yours.

|johnshasteen||Paloma has weathered two Force 10 storms one for 36 hours the other for 48 hours(according to the Corpus Christi Coast Guard - winds 50-60 gusting above 60 and 28-30 foot seas) at sea and came out still afloat both times. Neither storm was anticipated at the time of departure and by the time we learned of them, we were too far from land - proving that you can't out guess the weather Gods - don't try - just be ready for whatever comes. Remember, every sail is an adventure.|

There may be a chance you can check with the hurricane hunter page online to check out the details for yourself.

This was my very first thread here.
I was so excited about it!
I've learned so much about sailing since then.
I'm happiest when I'm on the water.
I have not fought storms to the degree I have loved to, since my son in law, Harris County Sherrif's Deputy Robert Brian Ashworth, did what he did.
Katrina and Rita are very serious evidence of that. Only I had to speak to Rita cuz Bob was so terrified. She changed course at that point and did not come straight up 45.
I love you all so much, I really don't care about what you think of me.
I still love and pray for you and your children's best welfare daily.
Regardless of what you say,
I stand firm in Love, and that's because I am unashamed.

But "the street over" (this is the real question) "flooded to the top of the apartments" indicating to me that there was some serious water there.
I don't watch the news much but even if this happened in a place far from a TV camera I think I would have heard about it.
Would it be too rude to ask for specific times, dates and location? I don't want your daughter's address or anything but, well, you know, I am not going to take your word on this one, sorry.

I wonder if folks discuss "how to sail" on the many religious bulletin boards that can be found on the internet?
My guess is they don''t. Could it be possible to discuss how to sail on this bulletin board without the sermons?
