Ralph Reitan tribute pictures posted
I have put pictures from the Magothy River Sailing Association tribute to Ralph Reitan from 5/28/2008 up on flickr.com. I was on Coyote, an Albin 43 powerboat, that was last to cross the honorary start line in tribute to Ralph. We had Ralph's wife and extended family on board with us.
I'm a new poster to Sailnet and can't yet post hyperlinks (strange restriction), so someone please reply to this post with the correct URL. The photos are at flickr/photos/meberman, where "flickr" is the URL of flickr.com.

Hats off to Magothy River Sailing Association for pulling together a fitting and classy tribute to a fallen friend. I can't conceive a nicer compliment.
Fair winds to you, Ralph Reitan.

A brief update, according to a news report the autopsy showed the cause of death as drowning, not cardiac arrest.
Makes sense to me, as cardiac arrest is a symptom of death, not a cause (not to be confused with myocardial infraction or the colloquial 'heart attack' ).
Ralph was a master Diver, lack of swimming skills was not involved - goes to show the conditions of the event leading to the accident and his death.
A memorial service will be held at the Cape St Claire Community center on June 2nd, 2pm to 5pm.
