East to West in Southern Ocean

Some time ago there was thread about a guy who was sailing around the world single handed east to west in the Southern Ocean.

I was wondering what happened to him, whether he was still going or what. I have searched for info on the net and found nothing.

Anybody else have anything on this? I'm sure there are members who are way better with searches than I am.

If you're referring to Glenn Wakefield aboard Kimchow he unfortunately ran into some serious trouble near the Falklands early this month and has abandoned his trip.

I'm not sure of the current status of his boat, but he is now back home in Victoria BC after being rescued at sea after a rollover.

It becomes apparent from his website that he abandoned the boat. Really tough way to end a dream but from the pics in the site he went a heck of a lot further than I would have thought.
