If you tee into the vent line I would be concerned about fuel backing up and spilling out into the water. With two tanks it is essential that when you shift tanks, you shift both supply and returns. Otherwise you are pulling fuel from one and returning to the other. One will run dry and the other will overflow.
Strange that the second tank doesn't have a return connection. Is it really a diesel tank or was it a gas tank?

|christyleigh||After thinking more on it maybe you would be OK to vent and return from the tube if you only used one tank at a time exclusively. My thinking was from my dual tank setup that I have a Filter Boss polishing system set up so I can run from either and return from either with setup switches.... or... polish from either and return to either with setup switches. That's why the first thought that came to my mind was taking fuel out of tank 1 while returning to tank 2(your no return tank) which would definitly give you a (bubling) problem at the vent which would be trying to vent Out to make room for the fuel comming In to tank 2 whether running or polishing.|

|christyleigh||The problem is - fuel in and air out through the same hose at the same time. Bubble bubble toil and trouble If possible with a step-down adaptor I'd come into the fill hose. That way the vent vents and the fill fills - as it should.|

Diesel Tank with no Fuel Return
Still in the process of re-powering. Question about the fuel return system.
We have 2 fuel tanks, only one of which has a spot for a fuel return line. For the other one, we are thinking of T'ing it in, either to the fuel fill hose, or to the vent hose. The vent hose would be a lot simpler, given the diameters of the hoses which need to be joined. Does anyone see a problem with T'ing the fuel return into the fuel vent hose?
