Hello from a newbie

Hello Ron,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have visited shortypen.com. The 16'' Guppy he identifies is my boat. I am starting to think I have the only one. Haven''t been able to contact anyone else that owns one. The hull # on my boat is 001.

Thanks again,
Jay

Found this via Google in case you hadn''t come across it yet

See the note about 16'' Guppy.

Hello from a newbie

Hello Chad,

Thanks for responding, despite my annoying title. I checked out the site you identified and the 16'' Sparrow looks very much like my boat (16'' Guppy). The only difference I can see is the windows. My boat has three round windows. The id number on my boat begins with MM, which I have found out, identifies Melen Marine as the manufacturer, so I am sure it is a Guppy. However, I can''t find anything specific. I just want to find out a little history about the boat. I guess I can alaways write to Melen Marine if they still exist. Maybe I will approach it from that angle. I tried finding them on the internet, no results.

Thanks again

Hello from a newbie

While I think the word Newbie should be banned, Hello, anyway!

Is this your boat?

Hey BigRed56,

Ahoy to you too, thanks for the great welcome and story. Sounds like I should have learned to sail a long time ago. May have scored a few more points with the girls.
I have a friend that has offered to do just what you have suggested. However, I don''t think he will look to good in a bikini, in fact I know he won''t. Was the de silly broad a blonde ?

Thanks again

Hello from a newbie

Hey James,

Thanks for the advice. I am planning on taking a class at my local community college. The class is only available in the spring, so I will have to wait till next year. But that''s o.k. because the boat needs a little work, all cosmetic, I think. Gotta scoot. Thanks again
