Actually, I mentioned teh Jeanneau Sun fast series reasonably early in the thread. As they are fairly fast for there size, and nice accommodation's. Henri Jeanneau whom started teh company, made his money initially on designing and building power boats. Then started building sail boats, along with a custom part of the company doing some of the French Atlantic racers, both mono and multi hulls.
Jeanneau has had many designers with known fast boats, Tony Castro, which my 85 Arcadia was designed by, Doug peterson, Daniel Andrieu (sp?) Marc Lambeau.......All designers with fast boats.

Chucks recommendation of the Jenneau ( I never spell that right because it is priced in Euro's and a Bene) as are two of my other three recomendations, is interesting. Noticed that a Sun Odysee, 45', won the cruising class, and I think overall, of the PH to Mac race.
Hey, if you get one of these speed boats, I am putting my name in for rail meet on your first Mac race from either direction. I do what I am told ( wife taught me well), I deliver the boat if you need it delivered, and I buy drinks at each end. Beat that offer! Please do it within the next 5-10 years as I am old!

everyone can laugh but take a look at jeanneaus - great cruisers and can make of go of it as they will step out - and the misses will enjoy the cabin and all it has to offer - as we all know if you want the family around the admiral has to be taken care of
just my thoughts
chuck and svsoulmates (jeanneau ds40)
full time cruiser on the hook in deltaville leaving for solomons in am

A couple of others that may work, if not mentioned yet.
Farr 1020, supposed to be one of his favorites, and cruised for awhile with his family. There is one of these in our fleet that is pretty nice.
Mumm 36, altho it may be a bit more sparten that you may like.

I'd throw in a catamaran suggestion or two, but I'm a little concerned about what would be suggested back.
Besides, we don't PRHF, we sail.
