P.S.,Bring your sludge cleaner for your hull and anything else that falls in the water, don''t eat or drink anything that isn''t frozen or bottled. Have tons of extra fuel to fight nasty currents and a depth sounder with submerged objects early warning alarms. If you go anywhere on land in Philadelphia bring a Gun.

Philadelphia

There are a few marinas in the Philadelphia Area. We sail every year from Philadelphia to the Chesapeake bay.

On the Jersey side there is a small marina "Wiggins" park. It has rest rooms & showers and is run by Camden County Park Commission. The marina is next to the Camden Aquarium. There is a ferry that runs between the Camden Aquarium & Penns Landing

In Philadelphia, there is Penns Landing Marina, , Pier 3 Marina and Philadelphia Marine Center. There are private clubs on the way to and around Philadelphia. Most welcome members of CBYCA & DRYL

Thinking of cruising from northern Chesapeake Bay throuth C&D canal to Phila. Anyone ever make such a trip? Is Phila really a place to visit by sailboat? Are there marinas along the Delaware River or other places to tie up? Thanks.
