Live-aboard in Ft. Lauderdale

When we left FTL, in Dec. of 2000, $500/Mo was about the minimum for legal liveaboard dockage. We were paying over $650/Mo for a nice spot (and 29'' boat).

Live-aboard in Ft. Lauderdale

Hello, I''m looking for a more affordable liveaboard slip in this area, if I''m reading the rate sheets correctly, It appears that they are running around $800 - $1200 per month for a 39 footer, I''m hoping to be around $500 OR less? Any idea''s? Thanks

Live-aboard in Ft. Lauderdale

The two prime liveaboard areas in Ft. Lauderdale are on Isle of Venice and Hendricks Isle, both off Los Olas Blvd.
There''s probaly a couple hundred apartment buildings, with liveaboard docks on these 2 Isles).
Some of the nicer ones are:
Banyan Marina Apartments - 111 Isle of Venice
Peter & Dagmar Meufeldt - tel: 524-4430
Villa Venezia - 132 Isle of Venice - tel: 832-9952
Isle of Venice Apts - Aqua Mar @ 90 Isle of Venice, & Riva @ 136 I. of V.

At conventional marinas, but not as nice (OMO)
are:
Harbourtown Marina - tel: 926-0300
Royal Palm Yacht Basin - tel: 923-5900

Check out the many listings in "Watewrfront News" (free) magazine @ (954) 524-9450

Regards,
Gord
