Cruising a NA boat in Europe...
For those interested in the idea of cruising in Europe - and wondering a bit about how to adapt a North American (NA) boat to the European infrastructure - I''ve been compiling a set of articles on this and some related topics at www.svsarah.com/Whoosh/Whoosh.htm. I also recently posted an overview of wintering in London or along England''s south coast, an option many boats consider if they plan to see both the UK and the Baltic and need several seasons to accomplish it.
We couldn''t find any dedicated info on prepping a NA boat for Europe, which was my motivation to sum up what we''ve done and - so far - how our choices have been working out over here. Hope it proves helpful to those few of you with such cruising plans. And let me again publically thank John Stevenson, who hosts the svsarah.com website, for his willingness to provide his support. The rest of his site also contains useful information for those of you who, like John, are planning to cruise Europe.
