Hello friends,

I was wondering if there would be any interest in a Fall raft up - Late September? October?

It's a beautiful time to be out on the bay.... Sept 20 is a raft-up for my local club....so that would be out for me. but....

...I could make something work on most other weekends in Oct, Sept...

I would propose a more "southerly" destination - St Michael's for instance - to include some of the folks that couldn't make our last feast! Solomons could also be a great idea...!?

Any other suggestions? Times? Locations? Interest?

All the best,
craig

So,

Is a Saturday meeting at the boat show a bad idea? I'm coming in Friday from Canada but maybe I could make it.. lemmie check my tix...

[start elevator music for your enjoyment......]

Yeah.. I should be good for a Friday if I get the usual connections....

So here is the official proposal round 2.

I would propose that we organize a frostbite raft up in November (chilly) and have a land meeting at the boat show in October. (We'll work on the November raft up after we finish Boat Show meeting...)

Meet at the Annapolis Boat Show on Friday Oct 10
Meet at the Annapolis Boat Show on Saturday Oct 11
Meet at the Annapolis Boat Show on Sunday Oct 12

What are the best dates?

Hi to all. Are non-owners allowed at your meeting?:) I'm flying in from Colorado for the boat show and will be staying at a motel close by. I plan on being at the boat show on the 10th and 12th and will be looking at used boats in the area (Rock Hall) on the 11th. Hope to be able to meet some of the "Sailnet" crowd in person.

Sadly .... no.

You must be a rich..pretentious boat owner to participate in our exclusive Blue Blazer - Captains hat event.

If you can't even afford a little boat.. how on earth will you afford the reqisite clothing? Oh Dear.

I'm sure you understand... we view those that consider themselves "down to earth" as .. ..well... poor...

Now all... where is the nearest Heli pad? and please don't give me the coordinates of that silly one near the Naval Academy. That was a disaster last year with all those funny army people running around...

I'm hoping there's one on the roof of the Tiffany's... I'll drop the Mrs. off and she can shop whilst I take the electric car down to the show. Anyone else considering the Morris 82? Hands off I say.. it's mine...

:D :D :D :D :D

Now.. all that said...MtnMike... Can you hang out Saturday night?

I like that the best...

For me... Saturday Night or Sunday would be ideal....or both.... Are things going on all night long? Who's been? Give us a run-down!

Count me in for the meeting at the annapolis boat show. To bad Latitudes and attitudes wont have the free party this year, what a good time last year.

I will also be at the SSCA GAM this saturday. See you there.

This is "instead of" the Friday gathering (see post #26)? We'll be there, wherever "there" is.

Craig - we can sure try - they're 'first come, first serve' and there are several. We don't know yet which days we'll be attending the boat show. We'll be representing Navy Sailing on their boats, so whichever days they have us scheduled for, we work 1/2 day and then walk the show.

Of course if you figure 3-4 hours work for a "free" admission to the boat show, and tix are $16, we're barely making minimum wage, right?

Anybody want to name a place to meet? I will be at the boat show Saturday. If you were at the GAM I was there, I should have put up a flag!! sorry I missed you. Do you all want to meet at a booth at a given time or after the boat show. Still any intrest??
