KasbeKZ yeah i lived right down the road from them. i've raced out of there a bit. the moonlight regatta is great. but i did more out of rappahannock yacht club. but i'm looking for someplace that i can ride the norfolk city bus to because i'm living there now

zz4gta Check into fishing bay yatch club. They normally have races on the weekends.

KasbeKZ it's not that i'm not interested in the bigger boats, it's just that week day evenings are always work nights. so i'm looking to get out on the weekends and do some bigger races

Soontobecruiser Is it that you aren't interested in racing the larger boats at the Wed and Thursday night races in Hampton and Norfolk or that Wed and Thur nights are bad. There are lots of boats at Hampton Yacht Club that race on weekends as well as Wednesday nights. If you are looking for small boats, I believe that Hampton yacht club races them, but I am not sure if it is only for their junior sailors.

We kept our boat at Warwick Yacht Club while we lived in Newport News...but I new a few people involved in the weekend races at Hampton.

i guess i'm using this section of the forum a little backwards, but i'm going to point the finger and say "he did it!" just a few threads back.

i'm in norfolk Va, at odu, and the sailing team didn't have any openings, so i'm looking for whatever sailing i can get. weekends will be open. i'll probably avoid wednesday and thursday night races, exept on an occasional basis, but if anyone around is looking for crew, let me know.
