T37SOLARE You should be able to anchor off the Academy seawall, up Spa Creek or in Back Creek as they are all serviced by the water taxi. All the anchorages are going to be over packed, but I'm sure you can find some space.

As for the Navy making room for the show, wishful thinking....

groundhog I see your point SD.
But I can be bribed with grapes n peanuts...

Will the navy be trying to clear up space and move boats up the creek to those spots?
My problem is, that to go from baltimore to annapolis to just take a look, might be a long ride for not much. And I don't yet have a dingy (maybe I could buy one at the show.... hmm.).

gershel Weems Creek is a terrific anchorage with good holding, and if you're lucky there may be a FREE naval academy mooring ball available. The Academy football stadium is about 2 blocks from the dinghy landing at Weems Cr., and there is a free shuttle bus to the show from there. Also, there is a supermarket and restaurants 1 blk from the landing.

chucklesR Try Weems Creek. It's a bit of a dingy ride, but sometimes open.
If you are Navy you can catch a ball at the Annapolis Naval Station - if they still have one open.

Jeff_H I tacked through Annapolis Harbor on Saturday and not only were the mooring balls all taken, but the anchorage area to the east of the Naval Academy seawall was packed as well.
