New Member- Channel Islands, CA

Bought a Columbia 22 almost a year ago, sailing out of Channel Islands Harbor, CA.

Mostly day sailing and weekend trips to Anacapa, Santa Cruz Islands.

Grew up in a sailing family in NY (LI) owned Lightning, O'Day Day Sailer, Rhodes 19', Soling, Pearson 28, O'Day 25', Force 50 and numerous others.

Sold a business in 1978 and bought a Force 50 Ketch. Sailed some of the world in ten years of glorious retirement, Carribean, Atlantic, Med, Canal, Pacific. Plenty or Mexican beer and rum and fun.

Kept the F50 until a few years ago and wanted a small sloop to singlehand and weekend/day sail with friends, family and colleagues. Looking at Catalina 22's when I found a nice Columbia 22 that has been trailer sailed for more than 20 years, clean and nice for a 37 year old boat.

Nice boat, doing some renovation/cleanup.

Contact me if you are up in CI/Oxnard and want to have a beer/sail.
