|paulk||Very nice lines, and quite roomy below. Lack of a real nav station may be an issue, or maybe not if you have good displays for the cockpit. Having the steering pedestal forward means the dodger gives good protection to the helmsman, and makes handing things up from the galley a bit simpler. The big cockpit may be a liablilty offshore, but it's certainly an asset for parties in port. Maybe you can fill it with jerrycans (diesel? water? rum?) while in transit to reduce the volume.|

|SailorMitch||Don, Join the Pearson group on Yahoo groups and ask your question there. Lots of P_35 owners on that list. I know several owners here on the Chesapeake who have sailed their 35's to Block Island and to the Bahamas. Check the tankage for longer trips. They are great sailing boats. CB's can be a pain,but i know some folks who glassed them in and they claim the boat still sails well.|

Sailed a Sabre 38 CB for 13 years never a problem,
a little noisy offshore. Light winds didn't use the board.
We have a couple of Pearsons in our charter fleet, also
never a problem. Our customer love the sailing

One Mans Opinion
I think a Pearson 35 is a wonderful boat, especially if it as been maintained.
That being said, here are my two cents on a centerboard, they aren't worth the headaches, so avoid them if possible. They have a habit of getting stuck up or down; with down being more of the problem.

Your Feedback on the Pearson 35
Hello I was wondering what you guys thought of the Pearson 35? Do you feel the CB is an asset or a liability is she really alright for offshore work or is she simply a costal sailor who can cross small stretches? I'm just starting my research right now I love the classic lines of the older Pearsons and would love to hear opinions.
