Putting in a wash down pump on my Cat. 270. Where would be a good location. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Don't know about the Cat 270. In my Beneteau, it's in the crew quarters above the crew locker. (The equivalent of putting it as far forward and high as possible.) The hose runs through a small hole and into the chain locker. The chain locker has three compartments, due to the dividers that it has. One is for the chain coming from the windlass above: one is for the spare anchor and line (all the way forward), and one smaller, shallow one is for the coiled washdown hose. It seems like a pretty good setup.

So if you can have the hose available near your anchor, that would be good. Those things come up muddy at times, and the hose can work wonders, IMHO.
