Clearing Customs St Vincent/Grenada and back

I chartered out of Prickly Bay the first week of April, 2001. It takes a lot of patience, but the actual process is about 1 hour. It really helps to have 4 copies of the crew list before entering the customs office. You can make copies at the mini-mart behind the Boatyard Restaurant in Prickly.

At Prickly the customs and immigration are in the same small room so you do not have to travel.

We cleared IN at Clifton, Union Island, St. Vincent and the customs / immigration is a two block walk to the airport.

Hope this helps.

Clearing Customs St Vincent/Grenada and back

Last time I checked into Grenada it was in Secret harbor coming up from Trinidad. It took about 20 the customs office ( He can be a *****) then over the hill to the immigration office (short plesant walk) no prob ( He likes you to introduce yourself, and be plesant. Coming down from the north to the grenidines into Canowan you have to check into the port captain, customs, and immigration. First two on the dock the last across thew street behind the market. I never flew into St. Vincent, sailed into Bequia though and it was an easy pleasant experience. All told checking in and out of both places it could take some time, but it is all part of it

Clearing Customs St Vincent/Grenada and back

We have booked a 41'' cat for 10 days in June in St Vincent and were thinking about going all the way doan to Grenada Prickly Bay and back.
The people at TMM seem to think that the customs clearing process will take a day 1/2 out of the trip.
Any experiences and recommendations ?
