The wild oats/skandia race has put some excitement to the race in my book. Appears overall a bit more competitive than past years.

For anyone interested, just read FASTNET 79 by John Rousmaniere. Started reading Christmas morning and couldn't put it down until finished. Great read and great analysis. This is also a world class event.

Never a dull moment in the Hobart....
That's a race I'd like to do someday, preferably in moderate conditions.
