No chuck, no one said anything, we are ignoring repitant posts that mean nothing!
Go back to your hole now! as I go back to mine!

|painkiller||I really don't see what all the hubbub is about. It's not hard to not care about a post or even entire threads. If it doesn't look interesting, move on. No more rules required.|

They'd have to actually hire a programmer to do that bit of change, and write up a set of rules, how old, what topic thread etc..
Not gonna happen, it would never satisfy most users so why bother?

|US27inKS||The reason I would want it fixed is to eliminate the threads being revived in which someone is looking for specific help or crew or advice on a boat he's looking to buy. Usually the advice given by the offender is of little value to the OP even if it were a current thread. This causes the usual suspects to think 'not only is this guy a bonehead that can't read a date, he has no idea what he's talking about'. The flamethrowers get the pilot lights lit and it's on.|

I think the easiest answer is to add a pop up that lets you know that the thread you are replying to has been dead for a while, and are you sure you want to reply.
Shouldn't be too hard to fix.
