So. Cal --> Hawaii

I made that trip 3 times.the important thing to remember is to get out by hurricaine season.I left ventura in may of 1985 on a 26 foot sloop.I left hawaii the following august.I then crewed on a 100 schooner the same year in october.I flew home from that one.Then in 1990 I left del rey on a 28 footer at the end of april.By the following august I was in monterrey.the way back I did twice completetly solo.It is not pleasant but very possible .you must go north until the wind dies,approx lat 28,29,30.that way north is miserable.write to me if you want to know more.eric davidson,
