Hunters aren't built for offshore conditions; they are designed for the coastal trade. Despite the knocks Hunter receives, they make a pretty reliable boat. For example, my boat has spent it's 28-year life on the Great Lakes, the FL Keys, and now the Bahamas for the past 11 years. It has held up well and I have no reason to doubt that I'll still be cruising on it 10 years for now. Can you ask for much more than that?

Good luck!
Nope, I don't think we can, congratulations

Nope, but . . .

Sailed one on Long Island Sound a long time ago.

Not sure exactly what you want to know, but I would not consider this a great boat by any stretch. It has two redeeming qualities. One, it's cheap. And two, it's cheap. I guess there's a third, as there's a fair amount of room down below for a 34 footer.

They don't sail very well, and they are not very well put together. But, if you're going to daysial, weekend, or stuff like that, with a limited budget, they're not the worst choice.
