I have been asked to recommend a good charity to which a friend can donate a boat in Florida. It needs to be a recognized charity or organization for deductibility reasons, etc.
Dunno if you want something that will give you more of a warm fuzzy feeling but I am sure there are other places out there. Not sure how many would take a boat though just because of the hassles of selling it/storing it.
There is an organization called Safe Harbor Boys Home. It takes in young troubled boys and gives them a learning experience. I have worked with the boys and I was really impressed. It is a real good cause. You can check them out on this link Working Together.
