Classes in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in January?

My family (wife and daughter) and I did those courses in December 2002 with BWSS. We had good weather. But on a charter there in December of last year, a couple of cold fronts made us appreciate the rain jackets and polyester fleece sweats we had packed. In other words, you need to be prepared for some cool weather, but with any luck you''ll have high 70s, low 80s during the day and 60s at night. But you could have 60s daytime and 40s at night! We were pleased with our BWSS instruction. We opted for the private lessons.

Classes in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in January?

I am looking at taking the ASA 103 Coastal Cruising) and 104 (Bareboat Charter) class in Ft. Lauderdale, FL the 2nd week of January and would like some opinions on likely weather. I am a little concerned that it will be a little too cool to realy enjoy and learn. Also, anyone that has attended classes given by Blue Water Sailing School in Ft. Lauderdale would be appreciated.
