kaluvic Mine is a canoe stern and my dingy is also 310...out board will probably be smaller than yours.
I looked and looked for davits that fit well with the stern but didn't find any.

As you see I haven’t yet rigged them up so I cant comment on how they perform.

kaluvic I've posted some of these pics before, so sorry to those have of you that have already seen them.

I ran my davits thru the aft deck into the floor of the lazarrette
The 4inch SS vertical pieces have a solid diaphragm inside to prevent kinking where the pass through the deck (inside nylon sleeve)

They can be rotated out of the way for heavy weather passages.

There is a take-up drum in the elbow for a 2in webbing strap.

The idea is to lift the dingy out of the water with conventional blocks/line then pass the webbing from the end of the davit where its always attached....under the dingy and the tail end into the winch drum

then crank it up until the dingy is sandwiched tight up under the davits.

davits for hans christian

Hi I was hoping someone might have some photos and or ideas for a davit set up that can hold a 310 zodiac with a 15 hp. The yacht is a Hans Christian 38 without a push pit or wind vane. I would also like to see ways you guys have set up the pulley systems.
