Checkout other forums like BirdBoard.Com - Parrot Message Board & Pet Bird Owner Forums for info on traveling with birds. Lots of people do it. But, it can be a pain.

Cruising with Birds
Does anyone know what restrictions there are for birds in most countries ? Also, do birds do well on boats ? I'm considering a pair of pet finches, but I don't want to get a pet that is going to cause troubles in a foreign country.
