Well Tree I tried to think like you but I have not found a used on that will work yet. I tried Ebay and a couple of other places. Don''s Salvage in the Tampa St Pete area has some and Sailorman in Ft Lauderdale on St Rd 84 has a couple. Other than that I have not found any that are cheep or salvage. If the guy who posted about Tops-In-Quality would post the web address or a phone number I would sure be glad to get it. I am going to have one made for my boat a Catalina 38 if anyone knows about one that might fit let me know .

I agree with Jack. I just had the pulpit on my new (to me) S&S30 replaced. It cost almost $1000, but was designed as an exact duplicate to the original (a quirky design that I wanted to maintain), dropped in place perfectly, and is of high quality. It was Tops-In-Quality who did it if you are interested. Marine stuff is all they do.

Tree, I would defnitely recommend a metal fabricator that works - at least in part - in the marine trades. Aside from searching forever, the key benefit would be that designing your own replacement pulpit allows you to take a lot of other things into consideration than simply the attachment points on deck. Halyard snapshackle connection points, a mounting point for a ''real'' bow light, ergonomically accommodating the anchor roller, add''l bracing that will make it stronger, and perhaps even considering a pulpit extension that reaches all the way back to the first deck stanchion on each side - all these are things I would consider if redesigning my own pulpit.

Anyone have an idea where a person might find a pushpit for a Bristol 27, ''68 vintage?

Salvage yard? Your back yard?

Or...

Reasonable priced Fabricator?

Thanks!
