Haven't done it but have seen it done...Check Edson for parts, etc. the guy who did it said it wasn't pretty, but it works...his biggest issue was making sure the pedestal was braced enough so it didn't pull out and getting the chain gearing set under the cockpit.

Mine is equipped with a wheel.
N 30/ 1979.

Newport 30 Pedestal Steering

I have a Newport 30 with tiller steering. Would like to convert to pedistal.
Has anyone performed this retrofit and offer suggestions?
