Much less expensive?

From the respective websites:

Tradewinds (ASA Certifications)
Basic Keelboat - 3 days inst. (24hrs) $495=$165/day

Basic Cruising - 3 days inst. (24hrs) $595=$198/day

BK+BC Package - 6 days inst. (48hrs) $995=$166/day

Club Nautique (US Sailing Certifications)

Basic Keel 4 days inst. (32hrs) $745=$186/day

Basic Cruising 4 days inst. (32hrs) $845=$224/day

BK+BC Package 8 days inst. (64hrs) $1095=$137/day

I guess it depends on what you''re looking for during your stay in the SF Bay area. It''s a great place to sail; hope you have a chance to enjoy it.

For an equally competent but much less expensive alternative, try Tradewinds at www.TradewindsSailing.com

Club Nautique. www.clubnautique.net.

Good locations, Alameda and Suasalito. Good boats. Good instructors. US Sailing Certifications.

Best,

SF Bay Area Info

In July I will be visiting family in the San Franciso Bay Area, but I have set aside time to schedule some sailing lessons. Does anyone have any recommendations for schools/instructors/etc? Any personal experiences to tell?

Though my husband and I sail our Cal 22 on Colorado lakes, and have chartered in the Caribbean and La Paz, I want to sign up for individual study.

Thanks for your help.
Cheryl
