Poorboat I may have to get the shoe fabricated as i have not had any luck otherwise, I looked back through some "before" pics of my boat and they should be suitably impressive as far as improvement goes. currently finished deck paint and working on reinforcing all stanchion/railing bases. Has anyone replaced windows? What is difficulty level? Plexiglass? Looking to be back in water by Sept...cheers to all

ssneade quote from poorboat:
"will try to get some pics up as soon as i feel worthy."

suggestion poorboat, if she makes you happy, then its the most beautiful ship afloat. it makes NO difference what anyone else thinks. just remember to mix lots of love with your paint and all of your labors endured on her. the end result will be a masterpiece.

still looking for you a shoe, any luck on your end?

Poorboat I am a contender 24 owner which translates to a contender "restorer" and also have a need for a rudder cup or gudgeon cup if anyone knows where to find another one? Also is there some method for sealing around motor&venting when mounted in the lazarette? Has anyone had any luck in replacing long style cabin windows? I am inspired by photos of everyones obviously hard work...makes it seem alittle more worth it now!

tbeagley Just a thought, I am going to have an extra companionway hatch when I'm done with my new one. Its fiberglass and not in bad shape. Also, I'm looking for a portside window (the big long one) if anyone knows of one.
