Valiente I haven't used them yet, but I chatted with the people at Island Canvas and was impressed with their knowledge and attitude.

I also hear good things from other sailors about Hurricane Canvas (they are on a boat in the Ship Channel off Cherry Street), but I have no take on how their prices work.

Hurricane Canvas: Toronto, Ontario "Quality Canvas Work for Over 25 Years!"

Good luck.

patrickrea Stratoglass is worth it. Easier to maintain and stays clear longer. I had some plain clear plastic replaced on my Bertram top with Stratoglass and now it is like dealing with real glass without the fragility.

wookie I would rather not say over the net I am waiting on another quote, they said they use Stratoglass as this is a premium product

patrickrea Sounds a high to me but then again it is a fair bit of material and a bunch of labour. Who quoted?

wookie Ive been quoted $5K for a new Bimini front screen and full enclosure for a centre cockpit ketch is this a bit over the top?

patrickrea A friend of mine owns The Canvas Shop out in Scarborough. Talk to John Lott and tell him I said to give you a deal!!!!! I have also heard good things about Island Canvas on Front St. (or was it Queen's Quay). You could go the Port Credit in water show. There was a mobile guy there last year.

My last top (for the Bertram) was done in Parry Sound about 15 years ago. Can't remember the guy s name at the moment but he was pretty damn good at a decent price.

Canvas shop in GTA area

I am thinking of adding a dodger to my boat. There is couple of places in Toronto to choose. I was wondering if somebody can provide feedback or recommend canvas shop.
