|eMKay||I've had a bunch of trailer sailers, but by far the easiest to set up and the most fun to sail is my Hobie Wave. Takes 5 minutes to set up.|

Hey Ford, Take a look. Sailaway21 is good friend of mine. A Cal 21 is a great trailer sailor!

Looks like you revived an old thread.
I wouldn't call a 26 footer a trailer sailor. I guess if one was set-up specifically for it you could get by but thats a huge boat to be trailering.
I ued to have a Starwind 19 that was the perfect trailer sailor. I could step the mast by myself without anything fancy or extra rigging. Something like that would be perfect for a first boat.
I just bought a 23 footer and I wouldn't consider it a trailer sailor by no means. Sure I might get a trailer and take a trip once a year to the keys but that just makes it trailerable. I still own a 27 footer I'm tryinng to sell, no way would I even consider putting that thing on a trailer.

|Fordzilla||Thanks guys for showing me some other trailerable sailboats. Compac is nice but Rhodes seems to catch my eye a little better. I like the idea of wheel steering better than a tiller, but I guess thats a trade off to have to deal with. Armed with a little more information on smaller sailboats. . . .I think I'm almost ready to go shopping. . . .|

|solarfry||Get a Compac sailboat. They are a lot easier to rig and raising mast solo on the smaller ones is a one hand job.|
