PU truck bed liner

I didn`t realize that it was an epoxy but I have used it on the floor of a sportfisherman boat and it worked great. You can get any color as well as antiskid mixed in with it.Tough as hell and UV protected.I even used it on a bathroom floor, don`t have to worry about water getting in anywhere. If antifoulant would stick to it and it to the hull I cannot see any reason not to try it.I have also wondered about putting it inside a metal hull as well.It does have it`s advantages.

PU truck bed liner

A friend has suggested using the same epoxy product that is used in spraying PU truck bedliners (such as Rhino Liner) as a less expensive alternative to VC Tar. He says it''s substantially the same as VC Tar. I checked the wsebsite for Mar Hyde, which I believe is a similar product, and it only costs about $54. a gallon, even without a discount, which is a whole lot less than VC Tar.

Has anyone ever tried it? Is it a good idea, or an invitation to a bad bottom job?
